|On 30 October Minister of Agriculture Nikolay Fyodorov presided over a meeting of the Russian section of the Intergovernmental Russian-Jordanian Commission for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation.|
The Commission was established following the top-level agreements achieved in 2012 at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Jordan’s King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein.
The participants discussed information and suggestions as to preparation for the next meeting of the Commission which is planned to be held on 13 November 2014 in Moscow. The Agriculture Minister said that the coming meeting would give the opportunity to work out mutually acceptable solutions, which would bring along further expansion and development of Russia-Jordan economic ties.
Members of federal executive authorities and of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council made reports at the meeting.
