Planned training of non-staff emergency response team carried out in SITTEC’s Ukhta branch

14-15 August 2014 saw planned training of SITTEC’s gas rescue service, a non-staff emergency response team, carried out in the company’s Ukhta branch.

The training schedule included the following components of accident rescue operations:

- taking actions in case of accidents, searching for and evacuating people from gassed area;
- observing security measures while carrying out operations in chlorine gassed area;
- giving first aid to victims at the gas rescue centre;
- observing radio communication rules in gassed areas as well as the rules of outgassing.

The training was conducted in the presence of Rostekhnadzor supervisors, certifying authorities, and expert organizations. The experts marked that SITTEC’s equipment met all the existing requirements and surpassed that of an average professional emergency response unit also noting the 100% training and certification of the gas rescue team.
An Act on readiness was issued based on the results of the training, confirming the readiness of the gas rescue service to respond to emergencies, as well as to carry out emergency rescue operations and other urgent actions.
