Pure water through innovations

The authoritative trade magazine “Oil of Russia” has published an article on SITTEC and titanium coagulant.

The authoritative trade magazine “Oil of Russia” published in the first issue of the year 2012 a detailed article on SITTEC Ltd. work.

The article dwells upon the company’s history and its cooperation with LUKOIL oil company, as well as on SITTEC Ltd.’s current industrial assets and the new production plant, which is being built at present.

The article focuses on titanium coagulant – an innovative chemical for water purification, which is produced by SITTEC.

“One of the principal methods of purification of surface water, as well as of industrial and municipal waste water, is coagulation, i.e. physico-chemical connection of contaminations into sedimented flocs by means of using special chemicals known as coagulants. Traditionally aluminum and ferrum sulphate and hydroxychloride were used for the purposes. But with industry continually developing titanium compounds came forth.

Titanium coagulant production is an innovation which brings titanium into such spheres as housing and utilities and environmental protection, and introduces titanium to completely new markets, considerably increasing the potential of different titanium conversion products.

The regions where SITTEC Ltd. carried out tests in 2011 ranged from Norilsk, Usinsk, Astrakhan, Tyumen, Ukhta, Syktyvkar, Tobolsk to Perm and other Russian cities. The tests involve both municipal water treatment organizations and industrial enterprises, including oil enterprises.”

SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Ukhta Region, the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal waste water treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
