Tyumen Vodokanal LLC interested in titanium coagulant implementation

After the first laboratory test results Tyumen Vodokanal LLC is interested in the implementation of titanium coagulant at the water treatment plants.

Late September, early October 2011 saw SITTEC Ltd. and Tyumen Vodokanal LLC conduct a series of titanium coagulant laboratory tests in Tyumen Vodokanal Metelevsk water inlet. The tests were aimed at implementing titanium coagulant for drinking water production.

The tests proved the advantages of titanium coagulant application for the production of drinking water in compliance with the current SanPiN on drinking water.

The Metelevsk water treatment facilities of Tyumen Vodokanal supply drinking water to the major part of the Tyumen capital, sourcing water from a surface water source, the Tura.

Following the test results the parties agreed further cooperation in conducting titanium coagulant tests during the spring freshet, the most difficult period for water treatment systems, as well as in preparing for pilot-scale tests of titanium coagulant.

Tyumen Vodokanal LLC is part of Rosvodokanal Group of Companies. The company supplies water to Tyumen, and also specializes in the treatment of waste water and in the maintenance of principal water mains and sewerage systems.

SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Ukhta Region, the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal waste water treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
