Start of titanium coagulant application in the Komi Republic

SITTEC Ltd. and the Komi Republic have agreed on a Plan of titanium coagulant tests on Komi water treatment facilities.

The plan provides for joint laboratory and industrial pilot-scale tests over 2011-2012 in Syktyvkar, Ukhta and Usinsk. The tests are primarily aimed at creating conditions for further implementation of titanium coagulant in water treatment facilities on an industrial scale after the production of titanium coagulant attains the projected capacity in 2013.

The priority targets for SITTEC titanium coagulant production project are:
-          commercializing Yarega deposit titanium ore;
-          improving the quality of drinking water and purified waste water;
-          achieving social and economic indicators of regional development;
-          deriving investment income from the project implementation.

SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Ukhta Region, the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal waste water treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
