SITTEC and Astrvodokanal sign an Agreement of intent
SITTEC Ltd. and MUE (Municipal Unitary Enterprise) Astrvodokanal (Astrakhan) have entered into an Agreement of intent. The parties have agreed to collaborate in applying titanium coagulant for water treatment according to the current process schemes of the water service company.
SITTEC and Astrvodokanal intend to collaborate on the basis of the results of joint laboratory and pilot-scale industrial tests conducted in 2012-2013 which confirmed the exceptional properties of titanium coagulant. SITTEC guarantees that the quality of the product meets current technical standards and requirements.
At present there is an increasing demand both in Russia and around the world for high quality of water purification. Titanium coagulant, as a new highly effective product, has significant advantages over other chemicals and is more cost efficient.
MUE Astrvodokanal was formed in 2003 from a merger between three Astrakhan water supply and sewerage enterprises. Thus one enterprise was established which provides centralized water supply and sewerage services for the population of Astrakhan. As of 1 January 2013 Astrvodokanal provides services for 193 793 households (486 857 people).
SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal waste water treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
