External utility networks at SITTEC’s titanium coagulant production plant tested successfully
SITTEC has tested the external utility networks of the titanium coagulant production plant with an overall length of more than 8km. The test results were successful and were accepted by the construction independent technical supervisor.
The external utility networks including a gas pipeline, pulp lines, a condensate pipeline, as well as drinking and industrial water pipelines, and steam pipes, supply technical resources to the titanium coagulant production site.
Two pipelines were installed for the pumping of oil flotation concentrate pulp from the enrichment factory to the titanium coagulant production site. These include the main pipeline and a backup pipeline, which is used in case of the main pipeline failure.
The large size of the networks is accounted for by the size of the sanitary protection zone which requires that the production should be situated in at least 1000m from the nearest buildings in accordance with the legal requirements for hazardous production facilities using chlorine.
SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal waste water treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
