The charity marathon which has been held in Ukhta since 2010 has become a good tradition. The marathon is aimed at helping those whose feat and hard work brought the Victory and who now need support and sympathy.

The four years which have passed since the first marathon was held saw 458 veterans and widows of the Great Patriotic War veterans receive individual aid. 1302 veterans live in Ukhta today, including 88 Great Patriotic War veterans, 809 homefront workers, 21 residents of Leningrad at the time of the Siege, 87 prisoners of the Fascist concentration camps, 297 widows of the Great Patriotic War veterans. Many of them still need repair in their premises, replacement of old household equipment, as well as of plumbing and gas equipment, and acquisition of life’s essentials.

SITTEC will be taking part in the charity marathon “We are heirs of the Great Victory”. The company will also establish a tradition of participating in preparations and celebrations of the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Yarega settlement – at the production site of SITTEC’s branch.

The programme of the events includes:

1. Presenting flowers and grocery packages to the Great Patriotic War veterans who are not former workers of Yareganeft oil enterprise.

2. Participating in the festive parade marching on 9 May with the workers of Yarega enterprises.

3. Cleaning up the territory of SITTEC’s branch in Yarega.

SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal waste water treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
