SITTEC participates in “Heritage of the North” Republican Exhibition
On 19-20 August 2016, Syktyvkar hosted “Heritage of the North”, the Republican Exhibition of Achievements and Prospects of the National Economy Branches. The event introduced 20 displays of Komi Municipalities and 77 displays of the region’s enterprises. It was more than 50 years ago that a similar exhibition was previously held, and its revival was timed to the Komi Republic’s 95th anniversary.
The high-ranked visitors of the exhibition were S.A. Gaplikov, Acting Head of the Komi Republic, ministers of the Komi Republic’s government, and heads of municipalities. A Certificate of Participation was awarded to SITTEC’s representative by A.G. Startsev, Deputy Head of the Government of the Komi Republic, and V.V. Barmashov, Minister of Economy of the Komi Republic.
Locals and visitors of the Komi Republic, interested in the innovative titanium ore processing enterprise, created in the Ukhta Region, were also among those who visited the company’s stand. SITTEC introduced them the fundamentals of titanium coagulant production technology and its application fields. An interesting and substantive discussion was held with Mr. Anatoly Gumenyuk, a citizen of honour of the Komi Republic, who dedicated 30 years to exploring Komi natural resources, was head of the KOMINEFT Association for 8 years, and afterwards became Head of the Major Committee of the Ministry of Chemical and Oil Machinery Manufacturing of the USSR.
The exposition comprised energy saving festival “Together brighter”, exhibition of films about the Komi Republic, as well as show of collection of traditional Komi clothes, children’s traditional clothes “Northern Berries”, collection of modern ethnic fashion. It also included various workshops and a concert of Komi artists’ groups.
Each of the participating municipalities and enterprises made a presentation on their achievements and contribution to social and economic development of the Komi Republic.
SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, carries out titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Ukhta Region, the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal wastewater treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
