SITTEC takes part in festive events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory

On 9 May 2015, SITTEC Ukhta-branch team took part in the Victory Day parade marching with workers of other Yarega enterprises.

On the previous day, SITTEC congratulated the Great Patriotic War veterans and workers in the rear, living in Yarega settlement, on the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory and presented them with gift sets.

Ukhta and Yarega people took active part in the first All-Russian Immortal Regiment march held on 9 May. The march gathered over 12 million people in all parts of Russia and near abroad carrying photographs of their relatives who fought in the Great Patriotic War.

107 photographs of participants in the Great Patriotic War, whose relatives live in Ukhta and Yarega, were gathered during preparation for the event from February to early May 2015. SITTEC employees and their children also participated in the Immortal Regiment march honouring the memory of their relatives who fought on the front lines.

The march began from the settlement council and passing along Cosmonauts Street came to the Obelisk in memory of Yarega oil workers who died defending their homeland. The procession laid flowers and wreaths on the Obelisk and honoured the memory of the soldiers with a moment of silence. Afterwards, the procession moved on to Lenin Square where a veteran of the Great Patriotic War made a speech to all those present at the celebrations. The festive march was followed by a gala concert and fireworks.

SITTEC Ltd., which is part of IFD Kapital Group, is realizing the project of building up titanium coagulant production on the basis of Yarega oil and titanium resource (the Komi Republic, the Russian Federation). Titanium coagulant is an innovative highly effective chemical for drinking water production, and industrial and municipal wastewater treatment. The superior removal capacity of titanium coagulant is accounted for by the high adsorption capacity of titanium containing phases in the product, which has significant technical and economic advantages over other coagulants.
